Thessaloniki emerges as a regional hub for green-smart energy and circular economy through the exhibition duo Forward Green & Renewable EnergyTech

From March 26–28 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center

Over 150 Mayors from across the country at the “Kleisthenis” Scientific Conference

The countdown for the 3rd edition of Forward Green and Renewable EnergyTech has already begun. The leading exhibition event for circular economy and green and smart energy, organised by TIF-HELEXPO together with the news portal energypress.gr, opens its doors from Thursday, March 26 to Saturday, March 28, at Pavilions 13 and 15 of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center.

This year’s event is evolving from a simple exhibition space into a dynamic, integrated ecosystem that intrinsically connects energy transition with sustainable development. The exhibition duo showcases cutting-edge solutions in energy storage, electromobility, flexible photovoltaic systems and circular economy, as well as modern self-generation models and energy communities, which are now actively supported by the new institutional and financing framework.

This strong momentum is fully reflected in the participation figures, with 81 specialised exhibitors (70 domestic and 11 international) from countries such as Cyprus, the Czech Republic, China, Italy, Germany, Austria and France. The exhibition attracts, among others, installers, investment companies and decision-makers from Local Government, with an expanded focus not only on the domestic market, but also on the Balkans and the wider region (Romania, Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Poland and Turkey).

With the main objective of transforming innovation into tangible business results, the event strategically invests in international networking. In the specially designed area of Pavilion 13, a strictly structured programme of pre-arranged bilateral business meetings is being implemented. Specifically, 72 selected international trade visitors are expected to carry out more than 200 targeted contacts, decisively strengthening exhibitors’ extroversion and customer base expansion.

At the same time, the rich programme of parallel events, Helexpo Dialogues https://www.forwardgreen-expo.gr/helexpo-dialogues/, will bring the market into direct contact with innovation and the state. At the core is the organisation, for the first time, of the Scientific Conference of the Panhellenic Association of General Secretaries of Local Government “Kleisthenis”, supported by OTA Voice and with the participation of more than 150 Mayors, focusing on city resilience. In parallel, energypress.gr organises targeted discussions (Renewable Energy Forum Energypress) addressing the core of investment challenges: from the recycling of photovoltaics and batteries to self-generation and storage opportunities for businesses, with the support of the Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies. Furthermore, more than 35 company presentations on new technologies and services will take place on the two open stages in Pavilions 13 and 15. The programme is complemented by a timely roundtable discussion on the sustainability of hotel units, produced by TIF-HELEXPO in synergy with Cigaret Cycle.

The opening ceremony of Forward Green & Renewable EnergyTech will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 18:00, at the central stage of Pavilion 15 of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center.
